Acton Academy Curaçao is an affiliate location of the fast-growing Acton Academy Network of over 300+ schools in the United States and globally. Our school is internationally accredited, English-speaking, and recognized as a private school by the Ministry of Education in Willemstad, Curaçao.

Preschool and Kindergarten: Spark Studio
Our early childhood studio for ages 3.5 to 7 years old is called Spark and is where a child's hero's journey begins.
The environment is intentionally designed in a Montessori-style layout, organized into distinct learning areas that invite exploration in literacy, numeracy, art, science, and practical life. Learners move through these spaces at their own pace, guided by their own curiosity.
Our play-based approach, Project-Based Learning programs, and individual learning plans provide a strong foundation for Elementary school readiness.
Elementary School: Discovery Studio
Our Elementary School for ages 7 to 11 years old is called Discovery, and it is where each child accepts the calling of their hero's journey and embarks on an adventure of learning and self-discovery.
Through the self-paced mastery of foundational literacy and mathematics, engaging Socratic discussions, and immersive project-based quests across STEAM, arts, science, civilisation, and the natural world, our learners discover what it takes to lead their own learning.
Our Discovery Studio welcomes learners from age 7, meeting each child where they are and steadily raising the standards and rigour over time, so that every learner is academically and personally prepared for the Explorer Studio.
Middle School: Explorer Studio
Our Middle School studio for ages 11 to 14 years old is called Explorer, and it is where each young person begins a hero's journey of challenging apprenticeships, projects, and speeches, exploring their interests with real-world applicability.
Learners in Explorer take ownership of their learning and environment on a greater scale, leading teams and committees, facilitating Socratic discussions, setting their annual and session goals, and practicing the skills of direct communication, conflict resolution, and kindness.
With a library of hundreds of integrative programs from the Acton Network, we dive into fascinating 21st-century topics across chemistry and biology, geography, engineering, finance and investing, the arts, civilization, AI and programming, and much more.
The primary focus of Explorer is to learn to work hard, persevere through challenge, and lead oneself and others. This is to build readiness for the academic and leadership expectations needed for the Launchpad studio.
High School: Launchpad Studio
Our High School for ages 14 to 18 years old is called Launchpad because each young person is getting ready to launch into the world after graduation.
Learners in Launchpad spend the critical years of high school working hard on self directed core skills and Project-Based quests. They work alongside real professionals through apprenticeships; engaging in hours of service, and exploring passions through independent projects to prepare them for life beyond.
Launchpad asks these questions over and over: "Who are you?... What do you need to learn? And how do you need to grow?.... so that you can take your unique gifts and change the world?"
